DotNetix makes use of Endeca Information Access Platform (IAP),based on the Endeca MDEX Engine to help you build such easy and intuitive Guided Navigation applications. Guided Navigation not only fetches the results of the query but provides refinement options to capture the search intuition of the user. We design Endeca Solutions for B2B eCommerce, Website Search and Product Data Navigation. Each solution offering has different set of modules but most of the functionality is identical across solutions.
DotNetix has configured the Endeca Pipeline from scratch and connected the pipeline to multiple data sources. For instance in one of the implementations, we used the Endeca pipeline components to connect to SQL database and configured the endeca pipeline with relational database queries joining data by adding the respective pipeline components. In the process, we mapped the Properties and Dimensions to fields from the database. We have implemented Content Spotlighting and Merchandizing while configuring the pipeline.
DotNetix simplifies the way the data is customized and displayed from Endeca by using RAD API to programmatically query an MDEX Engine.The Rapid Application Development (RAD) Toolkit for ASP.NET provides a set of Web server controls to build Endeca applications. It provides a simplified interface to the Endeca MDEX Engine and makes programming easier in .NET. We have used the Data source controls and User Interface Controls provided by RAD Toolkit to display the data in the ASP.NET application.
